Becoming Your Own Personal Sanctuary
Registration Begins July 15th
An evidence-informed, trauma-aware, four-week introduction to mindfulness, nervous system regulation, and embodied wellness.
Designed to help you move from anxious reacting to intentional responding, this experiential course offers practical tools for cultivating awareness, emotional resilience, and a deeper sense of inner calm.
Your Journey Home
In a world that often asks us to move faster, do more, and stay constantly connected, it can be easy to lose touch with ourselves. Mindfulness offers an opportunity to pause, listen, and reconnect with the steadiness that already exists within—not by escaping life's challenges, but by learning to meet them with greater awareness, compassion, and intention.
At Mindfulness Based Wellness, we work together as you learn to become your own peaceful sanctuary.
Through mindfulness, somatic awareness, nervous system regulation, and compassionate connection, you'll learn practical tools to move from anxious reacting toward intentional responding. Together, we'll explore how to listen more deeply to the wisdom of the body, meet life's challenges with greater steadiness, and cultivate a relationship with yourself rooted in awareness, curiosity, and self-trust.
Some of the techniques we practice include:
Breathwork
Somatic (body) Release Exercises
Sitting Meditation: guided and silent
Body Scan
Walking Meditation: silent and experiential
Mindful Movements
Compassionate Communication
This is not about becoming someone different. It is about returning to yourself, one moment at a time. From that place, a deeper sense of calm, resilience, and presence naturally begins to emerge—allowing you to move through life with greater ease and grace.
Weekly Meditation & Mindfulness Practice
These ongoing, weekly gatherings, are an invitation to pause, slow down, and return to yourself in community. Together, we'll step away from the noise and stimulation of daily life to reconnect with the steadiness, awareness, and peace that already exist within.
Each month will explore a different theme—from self-compassion and present-moment awareness, to cultivating a calmer mind and simply learning the art of being. Through guided practice, reflection, and shared experience, we create space to nourish both mind and body.
Weekly Practice Schedule

Second Week of the Month: Walking Meditation

Registration begins July 15th for September’s Courageous Cohort
Mindfulness Based Wellness is a four-week experiential learning program designed to support participants in developing practical skills for nervous system regulation, emotional awareness, and intentional responding. Grounded in mindfulness practice, somatic awareness, Polyvagal Theory, and evidence-informed wellness education, the program integrates structured learning with embodied experience to support sustainable personal and relational change.
The program reflects a core belief that meaningful transformation occurs when awareness, structure, and compassion are brought together in intentional design. Rather than focusing on information delivery alone, the curriculum emphasizes experiential learning, reflection, and integration—supporting participants in moving from conceptual understanding to lived practice.
At its foundation, this program bridges the gap between insight and embodiment. Participants are introduced to foundational concepts in mindfulness, nervous system science, and emotional regulation in accessible language, while engaging in practices that cultivate awareness, presence, and self-trust.
Upon completion of the program, participants are supported in developing:
• Increased awareness of stress responses and nervous system patterns
• Practical tools for emotional regulation and intentional responding
• Greater capacity to pause, reflect, and choose responses rather than react automatically
• Strengthened connection between cognitive, emotional, and somatic experience
• Enhanced communication and relational awareness
• A sustainable foundation for ongoing mindfulness practice
